Why am I a Big Fan of USBSwiper? I own a small dress store located in an old barn in a small town in Midway, Texas. After using the old 'knuckle buster' for 6 years and having to enter all of my transactions in by hand on a terminall after each art fair, I had to find something different. I didn't want to use anything that worked with a mobile device because it's uncertain whether or not you'll have signal during a show. I stumbled upon USB Swiper via Google and downloaded the trial to test out. I chose not to get the swiper because I was unsure whether or not I would continue with the service. The software is FANTASTIC. I can export Excel files of my sales so I can keep track of inventory VERY easily. After I purchased the software I got the swiper and credit card transactions are a breeze. I no longer cringe when a customer hands me a credit card because the process is so simple! Customer service and support is fantastic as well. I'm very happy with the product!

I started using Paypal to process credit cards as a temporary fix but loved it so much that 3 years later I'm still with them. The only downside was, as a storefront, using the Virtual Terminal made checkout longer than necessary. I found USBSwiper as a means to make credit card processing smoother and faster. INFORMATION FOR APPLE MAC USERS ONLY

NOTE: For whatever reason, in order to access some of the Navy CAC-enabled sites, you must CANCEL when it first asks for your PIN. After canceling, you can then choose your certificate, and it will give you a second opportunity to enter your PIN. At this point, the PIN must be entered.

Information for NAVY personnel using Apple Computers: NROWS will not continue to the login page if it identifies your browser as non-compatible. This is easily fixed by having Safari report it 'is' IE. Go to Safari->Preferences ->Advanced and ensure the 'Show develop menu' check box is ticked. Now when you open NROWS and it gives the browser error, go to the Develop menu in the menu bar and select User Agent->Internet Explorer (any version 6.0 or greater) The 'Unsupported' page will refresh, just hit the back button and voila, you're at the login screen. This works from the Navy Reserve Web site, or directly to the URL: https://nrows.sscno.nmci.navy.mil/nrows/
